Below are the answers to questions we have been asked by other Nominet members. We will be adding to this list over the coming months.
What happens if I have more than one Nominet tag?
We are a reasonable company and don't expect you to purchase multiple copies of Domain Active if you control several tags. One license of Domain Active per Nominet membership account is fine.
Is it difficult to install?
No, it's extremely easy. You just need to put a few pieces of information into the config file and then upload the files to your server. If you need any help then we're standing by.
Can I get the source code?
Yes, we haven't encrypted the code so once you purchase you can view the code and make any changes you want. You are not allowed to resell the code.
What language is Domain Active written in?
It is written in PHP.
Can I copy some code from Domain Active to use in my application?
So long as the application you are building is for your own use and not intended to be a commercial application that you will resell then we have no problem with you using our code to give you a head start.
How can I pay?
We accept payment online via Protx - here you can pay using all major credit and debit cards. Alternatively you can pay online using PayPal. If neither of these options is possible then you can pay using a cheque, bank transfer or cash. E-mail help@domainactive.co.uk for more details.
Am I entitled to upgrades?
Yes, any future releases that cover bug fixes will be provided for free.
Will I ever need to use PGP again?
Almost never. The only thing that isn't yet possible using Domain Active is to get a list of all Domain Names registered to your tag. Other than this you can do everything else via Domain Active. If and when Nominet provide a facility for their EPP system to return a list of Domain Names then we will implement this in Domain Active.
What is your refund policy?
We will issue a full refund if we are unable to install Domain Active onto your server.
