Some Background
In early 2008 Nominet unveiled their Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP) system. This service was made available to all Nominet members. In essence it is a system that allows XML requests to be sent to their server to perform a range of tasks that would normally be done via their PGP based automaton. Members now have a choice between using PGP or EPP to control their account.

The downside for most members is that whilst Nominet have provided the facility to receive XML requests they have not produced any tool to actually send the requests. This leaves members with the choice of having to write their own program to interact with the EPP system or instead purchase a commercial application that does the job for them.
This is where Domain Active comes in. We have spent the past few months developing the software and it is the only commercial application on the market. Feedback has been excellent and all Nominet members who have used the system have been amazed at the speed and ease of use.
